I was also speaking of Gloria Feldt who I was quoting directly when I said that they leave women "barefoot, pregnant, and powerless".Joyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18072562697674892424noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4460554143546291038.post-11078429754726630272009-08-11T12:20:24.830-04:002009-08-11T12:20:24.830-04:00Hey John!

I'm sorry, but I can't remember her name. As for politicians, at the time I wrote this there was a prominent news story, supported by several men involved in politics, about how bad large families are for the economy and one claiming that homeschoolers are terrorists.

No, I don't think that Christ meant only 'homeschoolers' when He said that his followers would be persecuted, and I did not say that. However, one of the ways that we are following Him is to homeschool, so I would definitely say that homeschoolers are included in the 'persecuted' not because we homeschool, but because we are Christians.

My blog is geared toward Christian homeschooling young ladies, and that's who this post was written for. However, I was not speaking just of homeschoolers in this post but of anyone who is being persecuted. If you have ever been persecuted than I'm sure that you would agree that Scripture can be very comforting and that's what I was sharing here.

I hope that made sense. :-)
Have a good day!
JoyJoyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18072562697674892424noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4460554143546291038.post-51115553319698602702009-08-11T02:18:39.367-04:002009-08-11T02:18:39.367-04:001. Do you really think that Christ meant homeschoolers when he predicted said his followers would be persecuted?

You may or may not be being perscuted, but is it really cause of your Christianity, or your homeschooling? And if it is because you choose to homeschool, it's not the persecution Jesus predicited.Johnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00817366385065447391noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4460554143546291038.post-26307612178210829062009-07-01T14:54:54.891-04:002009-07-01T14:54:54.891-04:00Dear Joy~

I love that quote.
The reason this post is so relevant for me is that for the past few months, I've been reading controversial fiction and reviewing it, then having debates in the comments. In Harry Potter especially, there is a huge mess of truth and lies, and sometimes it's hard to sort out. Your post helped me.

Thank you very very much--I'm always excited to see another article on your blog.

God bless,
HannahHannah L.http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/roseinthewildernessnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4460554143546291038.post-52533019829412453082009-05-02T16:40:00.000-04:002009-05-02T16:40:00.000-04:00Nice post Joy! :-)
